Pickpocketing has been an increasing problem for the citizens of Copenhagen. With the message “Pickpockets Love Distractions”, Copenhagen Municipality wanted to focus on how citizens could prevent being exposed to pickpocketing.
The campaign was executed in a playful and humorous way, focusing on the good pickpocket who placed lollipops in bypassers bags – to highlight how easily accesible citizen’s belongings are if they are distracted.
Copenhagen Municipality measured their use of influencers – and 74% of the respondents think that it is a very/mostly good idea for Copenhagen Municipality to create campaigns in collaboration with influencers.
Represented completely managed to help deliver the message in an enlightening, fun and non-intimidating way!
Pickpocketing is a growing problem in Copenhagen. Together with Copenhagen Police, we in the Municipality of Copenhagen therefore launched a major campaign to inform young people in Copenhagen and tourists. We tested a new way to spread our message – by using so-called influencers via Represented.
It worked fantastically, and we have been very happy with our collaboration with both Represented and the influencers. There has been a great understanding that we are a public political organization – Represented managed to fully help deliver the message in an enlightening, fun and non-intimidating way!
We measured our use of influencers – and 3 out of 4 of the respondents (74%) think that it is a very/mostly good idea for Copenhagen Municipality to create campaigns in collaboration with influencers.
